British fashion model, actress, and singer Twiggy rose to fame in the 1960s with her high fashion mod look and androgynous hair cut and long fake lower eyelashes. She was the first teen supermodel in history. She won two Golden Globe Awards for her performance in the 1971 movie hit The Boyfriend.
Twiggy's most recent television appearance was as a judge on the reality show America's Next Top Model on cycles five through nine. Together, Twiggy and Fran Drescher came up with the idea for television hit The Nanny.
Singing Career
Capitol Records released her first single "When I Think Of You" on June 16, 1967 while she was working as a model.
After she retired from modeling in 1976, she worked with Mercury Records releasing two albums, Twiggy and Please Get My Name Right both earned moderate success.
In 2003 she put together a collection of previously unreleased material in the album Midnight Blue.
