Gameplay
Gameplay is in the style of a first-person shooter, with a strong focus on outdoor survival skills. Enemies are primarily human, although dinosaurs and other creatures may also pose an occasional threat. Dinosaurs, however, may also be used as a tool to attack enemy soldiers by attracting their attention with flares or gunshots.http://www.turok.com/
The stealth mechanic is an important part of the jungle environment gameplay. Use your bow or knife to take out enemies unobtrusively. Make use of dinosaurs to distract enemies while you slip quietly by them. Draw your knife to attack enemies or dinosaurs from behind, triggering the Silent Kill to finish them off. Use your knife for self-defense during game "mauls" in which your player is attacked by a dinosaur or other creature before pressing the appropriate buttons to counter attack or defend.
Gameplay Tips
If Turok is harmed a red arrow will show up on the screen and will give the direction the last shot came from. This will be one way to help you find the enemy a little quicker.
Using a grenade will allow Turok to take out more than one enemy at a time.http://boards.ign.com/thread?boardid=-1&threadid=26772797&replyid=-1&page=1
In order to climb the ladders press the B then by pressing and holding up or down directional key you can move Turok and make him climb or descend the ladder.
When the knife is equipped Turok will run faster because of the lightness of the weapon. If he has heavier weapons equipped he will be slower, due to the weight.
