Launching True Religion

Jeffrey Lubell originally persuaded the vice president of menswear of the Los Angeles Fred Segal store to carry two-dozen pairs of True Religion jeans. Unfortunately, only two pairs of the jeans were sold during the first month. Lubell decided to give the Fred Segal's sales associates free samples of the jeans in exchange for wearing them in the store. The marketing was successful and the remaining 22 pairs were sold.http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-himi1-2009feb01,0,5471458.story

Lubell gave free pairs of jeans to people around the world as part of his grass roots marketing campaign.http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-himi1-2009feb01,0,5471458.story
