The Trojans won the Sun Belt Championship in each season from 2006 to 2009. They have 15 additional conference championships in their history, coming as a member of the southland Conference, Gulf South Conference, Mid-South Athletic Conference and Alabama Intercollegiate Conference. Bowl History
Since joining the NCAA Division I-A, the Troy Trojans have played in four college bowl games, notching a single win. In 2004, they played in the Silicon Valley Classic, losing 34-21 to the Northern Illinois Huskies. Two years later, in 2006, they defeated the Rice Owls football team in the New Orleans Bowl by a score of 41-17. The Trojans returned to the New Orleans Bowl in 2008, falling to the Southern Miss Eagles. A fourth bowl game appearance came in the 2009 season, facing the Central Michigan Chippewas in the GMAC Bowl. Troy Trojans Give Back
Visiting New Orleans, Louisiana, prior to the 2008 New Orleans Bowl, 10 members of the Troy Trojans football team traveled to the New Orleans All Children's Hospital to visit with children at the hospital. The players visited with the children in their rooms, bringing joy to the sick kids receiving treatment.
