Tropical depression two became Tropical Storm Ana on Saturday, August 15, 2009. Tropical Storm Ana was the first named storm of the 2009 Atlantic hurricane season. According to the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Ana was expected to gain strength in coming days, with the center of the storm possibly passing over the Leeward Islands by Monday, August 17, 2009.
