The U.S. Military has launched the video-sharing site TroopTube as an alternative to other video-sharing sites which have been banned from bases overseas. TroopTube will give members of the armed forces a way to share videos with friends and family that is Pentagon-approved. The new video-sharing service is more secure and uses less bandwidth than other sites like YouTube. ARS Technica: Military Shoots Down YouTube... (November 12, 2008)
