The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, on August 17, 2009, featured a bit with Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, in which the puppet visits the upscale and expensive D Pet Hotels in Hollywood, California. The hotel bills itself as "a luxury resort & spa for the distinguished dog." Triumph's jokes focused on the extravagant services at the pet hotel—which included treadmills, pet portraits and a TV room. At one point, Triumph says to a patron, who is checking in her pet, "Congratulations on the loss of your priorities."
