Former vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, confirmed that her daughter Bristol was pregnant in September 2008, only a few days after John McCain announced he had chosen Sarah Palin as his running mate in the 2008 Election. Palin said Bristol and the father planned to get married and raise the baby together.
