Terrorist related shootings and grenade blasts were been reported in the Indian city of Mumbai on November 26, 2008. The police chief of Maharashtra said that "at least two terrorists were inside the top-end Trident hotel in the neighbouring Nariman Point business district". Indian commandos entered the Trident complex late on November 27, 2008. About 40 people were led from the hotel before the upper floor windows were blown out in a shower of glass. Gunfire between commandos and terrorists were exchanged.
