  • A tricycle, or a "trike", is a three-wheeled vehicle, commonly used by small children and are peddle powered. Models have been made for adults along with being motorized. Child-sized tricycles normally have two small wheels in the rear and a larger wheel in the front, controlled by the handle bars. Tricycles are commonly bought for toddlers or small children before they have the ability to successfully ride a child-sized bicycle. Tricycles are preferred by some people due to their cornering ability, stability, comfort, rider stamina and terminal velocity, while others dislike them because of they ride and climb at very low speeds.
