Career
Luther Campbell of 2 Live Crew discovered Trick Daddy in 1996 at a club in Miami. An appearance on Campbell's album Uncle Luke caught the attention of Ted Lucas, the CEO of Slip-n-Slide Records, who eventually signed him to the label.In 1997, Trick Daddy released his debut album, Based on a True Story on Slip-n-Slide Records and has since released six more albums for the label with a seventh expected sometime in 2008.
