Early Years
Prior to playing professionally, Green played college football with the Indiana Hoosiers. He recorded 5,400 yards and 23 touchdowns and set single-season records for passing yards and total offensive yards for the Hoosiers. After college, he was selected 222nd overall in the 1993 NFL draft by the San Diego Chargers.
NFL Career
Green played exclusively with the Chargers practice squad in 1993 and 1994, then joined the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League in 1994. Returning to the NFL, Green played for the Washington Redskins, making his NFL debut playing one game in 1997. He signed with the St. Louis Rams in 1999, playing in eight games before he left for the Kansas City Chiefs.
After his first two seasons in Kansas City, Green had a break out year in 2003. In that season, he lead the Chiefs to a 13-3 and went to the Pro Bowl. In a 2006 game versus the Cincinnati Bengals, defensive end Robert Geathers gave Green a severe concussion, limiting him to only eight games that year. He was traded to the Miami Dolphins at the end of the season.St. Louis Rams: Trent Green
