Brief Biography
Growing up in the affluent city of Los Gatos, California, Trent Edwards was a highly-touted high school quarterback and was ranked as the best "pro style quarterback" by USA Today. Although he was heavily recruited by major football universities, he eventually decided to play for the Stanford Cardinals. Although not successful as a starter in college, Edwards was rated as one of the best quarterbacks coming out of the 2007 NFL draft. Mel Kiper ranked him as the third best quarterback behind JaMarcus Russell and Brady Quinn. He made a positive impact as a Buffalo Bill in his first year, earning the starting job.
