  • Travis Moen is a professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League.

    As one of 22 trades on NHL Trade Deadline day, Moen was traded to the Sharks from the Anaheim Ducks on March 4, 2009.   • Hockey Career

    Moen began his career playing in the Western Hockey League for the Kelowna Rockets in 1998. He was selected 155th overall in the 2000 NHL draft by the Calgary Flames. Moen continued to play in the Western Hockey League, and before he made his NHL debut, he was released by the Flames.     After spending the 2002-2003 season with the Blackhawks' minor league affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League, he made his NHL debut in 2002. He returned to the Norfolk Admirals for the 2004-2005 season during the NHL lockout, then was traded to the Anaheim Ducks on July 30, 2005. Moen was limited to only 39 games during the 2005-2006 season after suffering knee and shoulder injuries. He went to to have his statistically best year in 2006-2007, recordin 22 goals, 10 assists and 101 penalty minutes.
