Travis Kirschke is a professional football player for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League.
NFL Career
After going undrafted in 1997, Travis Kirschke signed with the Detroit Lions. He played in three games during his rookie season and was listed as inactive for 12 of the final 14 games of that year. Kirschke did not play at all during the 1998 season as he was on the injured reserve list for the entire year. Kirschke played with the Lions for six seasons until joining the San Francisco 49ers in 2003. After one year with the 49ers, Kirschke signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2004. Since joining the Steelers, Kirschke has played in every regular season game, recording six sacks in his first four seasons.
