Early Life
Travis Lee Hafner was born in Jamestown, North Dakota, on June 3, 1977. He attended college at Cowley County C.C. In 1996, Cowley was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 31st round of the Major League Baseball amateur draft. Pro Career
On August 6, 2002, Hafner made his Major League Baseball debut with the Texas Rangers. His breakout season came in 2004, when he recorded a .311 batting average with 109 runs batted in and 28 home runs in 140 games.
