The Travers Stakes, sometimes referred to as "the Mid-Summer Derby", is a horse race held annually at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York. The Travers is only ran by three-year-old Thoroughbreds.
On August 23, 2008, Bill Casner's Colonel Bill, jockeyed by Robby Albarado, won the 139th Travers Stakes in a photo finish with Mambo.
