Tracy Lamar McGrady, Jr was born in Bartow, Florida, on May 24, 1979. He attended Mount Zion Christian Academy and was named the High School Player of the Year during his senior year by USA Today. • Pro Career

McGrady was selected with the ninth pick in the 1997 NBA draft by the Toronto Raptors. Paired with his cousin Vince Carter, the Raptors reached playoffs for the first time in it's franchise's history in 2000. The following year, he was signed and traded to the Orlando Magic. He would blossom as the team's franchise player, earning his first All-Star appearance and winning the 2001 NBA Most Improved Player Award. In 2004, he would capture his first scoring title with an average of 32.1 points a game. He would follow that up the following season with his second scoring title, with an average of 28 points a game.
