  • Career

    After getting her start playing coffee houses in the Cambridge area of Massachusetts, Chapman released her self-titled debut album in 1988 to widespread critical acclaim. The album won Chapman three Grammy Awards and established her as a vital force on the music scene. Chapman released two moderately successful albums before returning in 1995 with her comeback New Beginning. The album was a return to form and won her another Grammy for the song "Give Me One Reason". Chapman continues to record and perform.
