The National Enquirer reported on September 10, 2008, that Track Palin, the eldest son of Alaska Governor and Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, was addicted to the painkiller OxyContin for two years. In order to escape a troubled life in Alaska, the Enquirer claimed, Track Palin enlisted in the U.S. Army.National Enquirer: Palin Family Shockers: What Sarah's Really Hiding! (September 10, 2008) He enlisted in the Army on September 11, 2007, and is due to ship out to Kuwait in the near future.
