June 9, 2010 Trace Adkins and Blake Sheldon won the 2010 CMT Music Awards Collaborative Video of the Year award for the for duet Hillbilly Bone. This was the first year they each had been nominated in this category.

Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins won Vocal Event of the Year award at the Academy of Country Music Award for their duet, Hillbilly Bone. The ACM awards will air on Live on CBS on April 18, 2010.http://www.acmcountry.com/awards/news.php

In 2008, Adkins appeared on Donald Trump's first season of Celebrity Apprentice. Each week the celebrities performed tasks that included anything from selling hot dogs to creating a new sandwich for Quiznos. The project manager of the winning team donated all the money won in the challenge to their favorite charity. Adkins made it to the final two but was "fired" on the season finale. He raised $102,000 for the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network. Adkins chose this charity because his daughter suffers from life threatening allergies to certain foods. This was his way of bringing awareness to the disease.
