Toy Story

  • Released in 1995, Toy Story was the first feature film to be made using only computer-generated animation. In 1996, creator John Lasseter received an Academy Special Achievement Award "for the development and inspired application of techniques that have made possible the first feature-length computer-animated film."
  • Plot Synopsis

    Toy Story brings the toys of a young boy's room to life. A struggle ensues when Woody, an old-fashioned cowboy toy, feels his supremacy may be threatened by the introduction of Buzz Lightyear, a modern space ranger toy. The two toys end up as unlikely partners in a life-threatening adventure during which they learn to cooperate and eventually become friends.
