Townhall.com is a politically conservative website that presents news and opinion from a broad range of sources. The site publishes the blogs of over 60 mainstream conservative Republican Party bloggers. The news segments analyze current events with a conservative slant. Political cartoons on the site parody the current political landscape, lampooning the liberal viewpoint. Complete with videos, online talk show access, and even a place for users to start their own conservative blog, the website presents a complete resource for the true conservative online.

In March 2009 a Townhall.com regular contributor, Bert Prelutsky - a former television writer, came under criticism from the popular blog Huffington Post. In his original column, Prelutsky intimated that the Obama's new dog might have to play second fiddle to the highest-ranking White House female dog, Michelle Obama. However, Chris Kelly's analysis didn't stop with this one incident.
