Toulouse is the fourth largest city in France. It is the capital of the Midi Pyrenees region. As noted by Frommer's, the city is the country's "high-tech center of the aerospace industry." Toulouse is the arrival town for stage eight and the departure town for stage nine of the 2008 Tour de France.
