  • Toto was a Grammy Award-winning soft rock band from Los Angeles whose self-titled 1978 debut album sold two million copies and kicked off a long and successful career. After two less successful albums, Hydra (1979) and Turn Back (1981), the band returned in 1982 with the multi-platinum smash Toto IV, which included the hits Africa, Rosanna and I Won't Hold You Back.

Despite Toto IV being their last hit album in America, Toto would go on to release nine more studio albums and become popular in Europe and Japan by the late 1980s.

In June 2008, longtime bandmember Steve Lukather announced that Toto had separated after 31 years together.Steve Lukather: An Official Announcement from Toto Lukather was the only bandmember to record on every Toto album.
