TorrentSpy was an online index of torrent files. Users would download and use the torrent files and load them into a BitTorrent client, allowing them to download Music, videos, and other media and software. In August 2007, after several legal issues with the MPAA, RIAA and others, the site was closed off to users in North America, blocking them from accessing the site. On March 24, 2008, the TorrentSpy team decided to close down the site for good.
