Pakalitha Mosisili

Prime Minister Mosisili spoke before the African Union Conference of Ministers of Gender and Women's Affairs where he made public his government's commitment to work towards a world which encourages equal rights for men and women. He expressed his desire to see an end to discrimination against women. He says he wants to see his country make available equal opportunities in both the public and the private sectors. Ilham Aliyev

Aliyev's policies have supported the development of entrepreneurship. The nations first quarter 2009 showed growth; the economy grew 2.6 times, up 2.5 times in their industrial production. Aliyev attributes his country's economic strength not to the countries oil and gas production, but to the sound economic policies and reforms he has put in place over the last five years. Fidel Castro

On April 7, 2009, Castro met with visiting members of the U.S. Congressional Black Caucus, a day after they met with his brother Raul Castro, currently leader of Cuba.
