Bud Light

Bud Light was first put on the shelves in 1982 but, it got its start in 1861 when Eberhard Anheuser, who was a manufacturer of soap products, purchased a small brewery in St. Louis, Missouri. Busch, had a daughter who married Adolphus Busch, who was a supplier to the local breweries. Busch was a pioneer in his field and his knowledge about refrigeration allowed him to develop a method to make his own beer, the way he wanted it. The father and son-in-law used the brewery purchased by Anheuser and started brewing beer. After they were satisfied with what their recipe produced, they bottled their first beer and called it Budweiser.

When Budweiser was introduced it to the market sales of the beer were sluggish for a while but under strict management, Budweiser became the best selling beer in the world. Anheuser-Busch also make Bud Dry, Michelob, Becks, Busch and a host of other beers and ales.
