There are a couple of things to keep in mind before uploading a photo to Tumblr. You can only upload images with file types JPEG, GIF, PNG or BMP, and the maximum size of the upload cannot exceed 10 MB.
Click Choose File and select an image from your computer. You can also use a URL instead. In the Caption box, you can add a description of the photo. You can also add more photos by clicking Add another photo. The tags box on the right side allows you to add relevant topics to your photo post. When you are ready to publish your post, click Create post.
The sidebar allows you to see and manage who you're following, view the posts you've liked, explore Tumblr, search within Tumblr and view an automatically updated random post.

While hosting ads on your blog will not make you rich overnight it may help you defray the costs associated with your blog. Remember, the ad's are only as good as your content...so focus on your blog and make the content rich and usable. Good content will drive traffic and ads will be targeted to that traffic.
You can Jump to month to look at your posts from a specific month. Simply click on the posts you want to edit and then click the appropriate action. From left to right, you can click Unselect, Add tags, Edit tags, Delete.
Reblogging is taking someone else's content, reposting it and giving them credit for it. It's very similar to the Share feature on Facebook and the Retweet feature on Twitter.
if you see a posting on your dashboard that you'd like to share with your followers, click reblog.
You can add in your own comment on the post or repost the original as is. Add any relevant tags and click Reblog post.
Click Pages --> Add a page. Choose what you want the page of your URL to be. In the Page Type pull-down menu, choose what layout you want to use. Name the page and check the box that corresponds with Show a link to this page. Click Create page.
Click Save + Close in the top right corner. Your new page will be added to your Tumblr navigation on your blog.
From your dashboard, scroll down to the bottom and click Goodies.
To download an application, click on the image that is right for your device. From this same page, you can also Backup your blog, share your Tumblr posts on Facebook and Publish to Twitter.
If you click Tumblr for iPhone, the following dialog box appears with three different options for installing the Tumblr app on your phone.
