Accelerated Composites
Accelerated Composites is a small company, based in San Diego, California that has reportedly developed a 230 mpg hybrid vehicle. The two-seat vehicle, called the Aptera, is currently a prototype. The retail version, scheduled to be introduced to the market in late 2008, will initially only be available to residents of California. Apteras can be reserved for a down-payment of $500. According to the company, the Aptera's fuel efficiency is due largely to a lightweight composite construction and aerodynamic design.

How to Use the Gradient Tools in Photogene For the iPad
The enhance menu has three different gradient tools to choose from: "Vignette", "Blur" and "Gray". Tapping on any of the options makes two concentric ovals and a submenu appear. The submenu allows you to adjust the radius of each of the ovals. You can also manually adjust the ovals by dragging them with your finger.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEOM-HgSTng
The "Vignette" option provides a black gradation between the ovals, the "Blur" a blurred gradation and the "Gray" a colorless gradation. Try experimenting with all three gradients.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEOM-HgSTng

Steampunk
The earliest novel featuring Steampunk tropes is usually considered to be the 1968 Keith Roberts novel Pavane. Other early authors include Harry Harrison, Michael Moorcock, and Manly Wade Wellman. The genre took hold in the 1980s with the works of Tim Powers, James Blaylock, and K. W. Jeter. William Gibson and Bruce Sterling, who had done much to establish the Cyberpunk genre, added to Steampunk's popularity with their 1990 novel The Difference Engine.
Steampunk elements can be seen in several motion pictures, such as Young Sherlock Holmes (1985), Wild Wild West (1999), Hellboy (both the 2004 film and the comic book on which it was based), Steamboy (2004), and others. On television, programs like The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr., and Tin Man have a Steampunk sensibility.

FLEPia
"I just tried out the Fujitsu FLEPia, which has been shown in 2007, talked about in 2008 and finally released in Japan in 2009. It's slow and janky.
The FLEPia is still the production color ebook reader available, says Fujitsu. The problem is that it's really slow. Page turns take 1.8 seconds, and slowly loads from the bottom up. And because it runs Windows CE, the FLEPia can handle PDFs and Word documents, but they're slow as well."
