How to Use Tabs in MediaMonkey

1. In MediaMonkey, on the left-hand menu, click Music. Choose a category, then choose a subcategory. Choose an entry in that subcategory. For example, click Classification --> Mood --> Chill. This creates a new tab at the top for that subcategory.

2. Clicking the plus will create a new tab.

3. Typing a search term in the search field, located in the upper-right corner, will also create a new tab. This is a tab of search results.

4. Look through the results for songs you would like to put into a playlist. Select all of these songs. Right click on one of the songs, then click Send to... --> Playlist --> New Playlist.

5. In the Playlist criteria window, give the new playlist a name, then click OK.

6. Click plus to create a new tab, then go to the left-hand menu and click Playlists --> (your new playlist).

Using Tabs and Windows in Internet Explorer 9

To see the difference between tabbed browsing and browsing without tabs, let's disable tabbed browsing.

1. Open a browser window. In the upper-right corner of the window, click on the gear --> Internet options.

2. In the Tabs category, click on Settings.

3. Deselect the check box next to Enable tabbed browsing. Click OK, then click OK in the Internet Options window.

4. Close and reopen the browser, then try clicking on a link. The new page will open in a new window rather than as a tab in the existing one. Every time you open a new page, it will be in a new window (or replace the page in the original window).

Tabbed browsing is more organized and saves a lot of space, because the tabs all fit neatly in the top of a single window.

To change back to tabbed browsing, select the check box next to Enable tabbed browsing.
