Toledo Walleye
The Walleye ended a two-year absence of professional hockey in the city of Toledo after their most-recent team, the Toledo Storm, ended their franchise in 2007. The ECHL allowed the team to take a suspension from the league while the new Lucas County Arena was constructed in downtown Toledo. The Storm played in Toledo at the Toledo Sports Arena from 1991 to 2007, winning the Brabham Cup for the best regular-season record in 1992 and 2003 as well as the Kelly Cup, the championship trophy, in 1993 and 1994.http://www.toledowalleye.com/mediaguide/Pages%2037-41.pdf
