How to Become a Professional Skateboarder

Grab a friend and have them videotape you while performing your best jumps and tricks. Send the video to companies which sponsor skateboarders. If they like what they see, the chance for a sponsorship will follow. Be persistent and don't give up. Most of all, let your personality shine through while you enjoy yourself on wheels. Sponsors shy away from hard to manage, conceited and unpleasant athletes, so guard yourself against such traits.

How to do Easy Skateboard Tricks

The "kickflip" starts with the same premise as the ollie. The difference between the two is after pressing down the tail and sliding the other foot. Instead of going forward with the sliding foot and staying on the board, slide the foot off the board towards you. Once the board has rotated once, use the back foot to catch the board and land evenly on the ground.http://www.skateboard-city.com/kickflip.html

Easy Skateboard Tricks for Beginners

The ollie was invented in the 1977 by Alan Gelfand, the trick was based on his nickname.http://www.kidzworld.com/article/8937-alan-gelfand-biography When a skateboarder performs this trick the board seems to stick to the rider's feet while jumping in the air. The trick is based on rotation around multiple axes; the skater also needs to crouch to perform it.http://www.kidzworld.com/article/5207-the-science-of-skateboarding

The Shuv-it uses the same physics as the ollie, only the skater rotates the board 180 degrees while the body stays in the same position. This trick is commonly performed with a 360 degree spin, and is a variation of the more popular 360 flip.

The 180 spin is similar to the shuv-it but instead of the only the board spinning, the skaters body rotates as well. This trick is performed like the ollie where the board seems to stick to the skaters feet.

The kickflip is when the skateboarder performs an ollie, but kicks the board into a barrel roll for one rotation. This is one of the most common tricks in skateboarding today, and was invented in by Rodney Mullen.http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://www.skateboard.com.es/rodney-mullen-inventor-de-trucos/&ei=ZpVnTL-NBsnsngefp6HBBQ&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=9&ved=0CD8Q7gEwCA&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dkickflip%2Binventor%26hl%3Den%26prmd%3Dv
