PixelJunk Monsters
Waves of monsters attack your home, and your only way to defend your children is to build different types of towers. As monsters march on, the towers will start attacking them one by one. You build the towers with money that you start out with, and money that the monsters drop after they're killed. Some towers attack only ground enemies, some air enemies, and some both. Once they are built, players can upgrade their towers by either spending rare gems (which monsters drop) or by standing on top of the towers.
Only through carefully planned building and upgrading can you stop the increasingly difficult waves of monsters that attack. There are easy, medium, and hard levels in PixelJunk Monsters, but the difficulty ramps up quickly, even on the easy maps. Different challenges and layouts are found in the game, such as a level where the monsters don't drop money and one where the monsters attack from all sides.
