Dierks Bentley Grammy Presenter
Dierks Bentley was born on November 20, 1975 and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. At 19, he moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. He grew disheartened when he failed to attract any significant public or professional interest. He secured a job at the Nashville Network doing research on classic country performances.
In 2003, Capitol Records heard Dierks' music, signed him, and released his self-titled debut album Dierks Bentley. In 2005, his second album, Modern Day Drifter, became a Top Ten hit. Since then, Dierks Bentley has released four more albums, Long Trip Home in 2006, Greatest Hits: Every Mile a Memory in 2008, Feel That Fire in 2009, and Up on the Ridge in 2010 which has been nominated for Best Country Album for the 2011 Grammy awards.

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour
Mette and Lars are the core of The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, but live, the band grow to a six-piece. Included are a fully fledged horn section of trumpet and sax players, clavinet sounds, a drummer and a guitarist. They insist they are neither a duo nor a band. Think of them as more of a collective - a group of dedicated friends with similar minds and dreams. The line-up and the sound will constantly evolve. Who knows... on their second album they might all join in writing songs, they could even have a string quartet, percussion player and backing singers...
Finally, about that name... I stole it from Miloud, our Moroccan trumpet player, who runs a hippy jewellery shop when hes not rehearsing with us, laughs Lars. Hes a dear friend and a special guy with a brilliant, random mind and a big influence on the band. He came up with the name and I grabbed it. I like it because it sounds like the title of a film or a book, rather than a band name. Its asking you to step in to a story and join us on a journey - a trip in our galaxy.
