Phorid Fly
The Phorid fly hosts on fire ants. The flies lay eggs into the thorax of the fire ants. As the larva grows, it takes over the body of the fire ant by dissolving the ant's tissue. The growth of the larva cause the ants head to fall off, creating "zombie fire ants."http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,534375,00.html?test=latestnews

The miniscule bee hummingbird can be found across the entire island of Cuba, although it has also been spotted in Jamaica and Haiti. Devil Toad
Scientists have speculated that the devil toad must have come from a land bridge to Madagascar. Current models of the Earth's prehistoric times don't show a connection between the island and South America. The land bridge theory is that Antarctica may have provided that link with a vastly different climate.MSNBC.com: Scientists find 'Devil Toad' fossil (February 28, 2008)
