EMG Coupons

Coupons have expiration dates so look carefully at any coupon you have so that you redeem it before the deadline. Check with the store that you are redeeming a printable coupon as some stores will not accept printables off the computer. When you print a coupon off the computer you are usually asked to download a driver. These usually do not ask for personal information but allow you to print the bar codes needed at most stores. Look for rebates but be aware that they may require a special item to be purchased for a rebate or may have other requirements to qualify. Read the fine print carefully.

How to Clean a Trumpet

Once you've finished up washing the instrument, and all the pieces have dried, you can assemble your instrument back to its original state. You will use valve oil and slide grease throughout this process.

  • ■ Take the big slide and put a little slide grease on it and put it into the horn.
  • ■ Take the first valve and put 10 drops of valve oil on it. Also put 10 drops down the first valve casing. You want to make sure to put the valve back exactly the way it was before you removed it.
  • ■ Do the same this to the other slides and valves until your Trumpet is all put back together.
  • ■ Take the mouthpiece and try to see what your Trumpet sounds like. If it doesn't sound right, it could be that a valve is in the wrong place. If after all efforts your Trumpet still doesn't sound right, take it to your teacher of to the music store to have them take a look at it. Never let anyone repair your instrument if they are not a professional wind instrument repair technician. Also make sure to keep your instrument in its case at all time if you are not playing it.http://www.musichem.com/articles/trmp_car_for_students.htm

Banjo

While most people associate the sound of the banjo musical styles of the southern United States, African slaves developed the instrument from predecessors like the lute. Lutes, which were made from gourds, have been around for thousands of years on the African continent.

The instrument made its way into the musical styles common in the south and Appalachian regions as white sharecroppers acquired the instrument from their slaves. The sound became incorporated into the bluegrass and folk music of the southern United States. In contemporary music, the instrument has gained popularity and can be heard even in Indie rock music. Of interest as well is that comedian Steve Martin has won a Grammy for his play of the banjo.

Variants of the banjo exist including the electric banjo. The Plectrum and Tenor banjo each have four strings. The Tenor banjo also has a shorter neck. They tend to be played in accompaniment. Finally, there are a number of hybrid instruments including the banjo-mandolin cross, or banjolin.
