Montreal Tourist Attractions
Starting with one of the oldest, Notre Dame Basilica. The original church was erected in 1642, almost exactly where the current one stands. Though this current building is from 1843 then added on to in 1891, then damaged by fire in 1978 and finnished 1982. It has a great history and is worth a visit.http://www.basiliquenddm.org/
To go from old to new, a stop at the Underground Pedestrian Network or Reso is a necessity. It is easily reached by subway lines, bus and from many buildings on street level. The concept began in 1962 with the lower level shopping mall in Place Ville Marie.
