How to Get a Cab in Los Angeles
Taxis frequently look to pick up customers outside locations where large groups of people tend to congregate. Popular pick up spots include sports stadiums, airports, popular subway hubs, transit terminals and even bar districts. If you are looking to get a cab without contacting a company ahead of time or requesting one specifically for yourself, showing up at one of these hubs is likely the fastest way to get a ride.

Places To Go In Hollywood California
A place to visit in Hollywood for the tourist on a budget may be Grauman's Chinese Theater. Simply standing in front of the theater building itself can create several opportunities. There among the footprints and handprints of the worlds most famous stars, is the place where many Hollywood tours begin. Most of the tours on open air-double decker buses begin there as well. Transportation to television show tapings also starts at the Chinese. Becoming and audience member for sitcoms and gameshows is usually free. Sometimes audience members can even get paid to become part of an audience. However, tourists should be prepared to spend the better part of a day hanging around a television studio and clapping their hands for hours on end.http://www.manntheaters.com/chinese
The biggest attractions in Hollywood aside from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Chinese Theater, may be the Kodak Theater where the Academy Awards are held, or the Hollywood Wax Museum.http://www.hollywoodwaxmuseum.com. These attractions are pretty much on the same block, which is very convenient for tourists. For those venturing out a bit, there are tours at old movie studios like Paramount Studios www.paramount.com/tours or Sunset-Gower studios. There tourists can walk onto sound stages where some of the first television shows and movies were filmed.http://www.paramount.com/tours http://www.sgsandsbs.com
Many people who visit the places where the stars worked at creating the greatest movies ever made may want to ...

Chinatown
A Chinatown is a region outside of China where a large number of people of Chinese origin live. There are Chinatowns in many different countries and regions of the world. One of the most famous and largest ones is Chinatown, San Francisco. Many Chinatowns are centers of shopping and tourism in addition to being residential communities. Chinatown can also refer to the movie Chinatown, directed by Roman Polanski.
In the United States, Chinatowns started forming in northern California and Hawaii with the arrival or large number of immigrants in the mid-1800s. They continued to expand through the 1900s as the number of Chinese immigrants to the U.S. continued to increase. Some U.S. cities that have Chinatowns besides San Francisco include Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City, which has several. Chinatowns also exist in Europe, Canada and Asia. The formation of the first Chinatowns in the United States were the result of local regulations that restricted where Chinese people could live, what types of professions they could take on and whom they could marry.http://www.asian-nation.org/enclaves.shtml
