Kupenda For The Children

Kupenda ("to love" in Kiswahili) for the children is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt Christian based organization that exists to meet the needs of children, with disabilities. Ultimately the goal is that these children will feel that they are loved and accepted.

How To Visit Kenya

Nature and safari tours are the top reasons for tourists to visit Kenya. Kenya has 18 national parks where you can enjoy seeing wild animals in their natural habitats. Flamingoes, cheetahs, giraffes, and rhinoceros are some of the animals you can see in Kenya. The most famous national parks in Kenya are the Masai Mara National Reserve, Nairobi National Park, Mount Kenya National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, and Tsavo National Park. All of Kenya's national parks are maintained by Kenya Wildlife Service. When you travel to the wild, observe some safety precautions for your safety as well as to preserve the animals and their habitat. Hunting is strictly prohibited.

Another place of interest in Kenya is the Lamu Island. The island has beautiful beaches and cultural heritage. People of Lamu has strong tied to their history and custom. You will find that the only transport in this island are donkeys and the local boat called dhow. The Lamu's Old Town has been declared as one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Aside from Lamu Old Town, other 2 sites that are listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites are Mount Kenya National Park and Lake Turkana National Parks.

To shop for souvenirs and local crafts, visit the Massai Market in Nairobi as well as other markets. Just outside of Nairobi, you can visit Kitengela Glass Studios where they transform recycled glass into artworks, jewelries, and wares. Another place for great local artworks is Kazuri Beads ...
