The Ward Trailer
The theatrical trailer for The Ward opens by introducing viewers to Kristen (Amber Heard). Kristen is shown setting fire to an old house, as a psychiatrist asks her, "What's the first thing you remember?" She responds, "Fire." In the next scene, Kristen is being admitted to the North Bend Psychiatric Hospital. She meets several other patients, who warn her that the hospital isn't what it appears to be. One patient, a young woman, says, "If I were you I'd watch out, new girl."http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FdVpIcRqLA
As the trailer continues, viewers learn that Kristen and several other patients are being terrorized by an evil entity inside the hospital. Clips show Kristen pleading with the hospital's staff members, trying to convince them that something is wrong—and telling them she isn't crazy. Kristen is also shown hatching a plan of escape from the ward, to try and get away before she is killed.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FdVpIcRqLA

Jenny Wade
"It’s not very cut and dry. There’s a fine balance with Nina between her being trustworthy or not, her being pure of heart or not. She’s been in hell for eons and she belongs to the devil and yet she still manages to prioritize her relationship with Ben...It sounds like a Spock thing where she’s half Vulcan and half human." — Jenny Wade, interview for Reaperhttp://reaper.otavo.tv/reaper-interview-with-jenny-wade (Speaking about her role as Nina on the show Reaper)
"Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a horror movie without my trusty eye shield (fingers over peepers). That makes me a dork, I realize. A bona fide lame ass. Also, I tend to make funny sounds when I’m scared, which means in order to avoid humiliation, I would have to watch alone. And that ain’t happenin’, my friend." — Jenny Wade, interview with KillerReviews.comhttp://www.killerreviews.com/dispinterview.php?intid=1676 (Speaking about horror movies)

Ryan Reynolds
"Acting has given me a way to channel my angst. I feel like an overweight, pimply faced kid a lot of the time - and finding a way to access that insecurity, and put it toward something creative is incredibly rewarding. I feel very lucky."—Ryan Reynoldshttp://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005351/bio#quotes
"I have a discipline that has served me very well in my career and in my personal life... and that's gotten stronger as I've gotten older. I've always felt if I don't just have a natural knack for it, I will just out-discipline the competition if I have to -- work harder than anybody else."—Ryan Reynoldshttp://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005351/bio#quotes
"I'm not a hockey fan, which is probably why I had to leave Canada in the first place."—Ryan Reynoldshttp://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005351/bio#quotes

The Ward Movie
- "The plot is beyond derivative, and functions only so that Carpenter can serve unexplained jump scares at the audience (shocking reveals with loud musical cues). The film is shot in a more old-fashioned approach, which comes off more stilted than nostalgic. But who knows, the film might have worked a lot better in the 1980′s."—Peter Sciretta of Slash Filmhttp://www.slashfilm.com/tiff-movie-review-john-carpenters-the-ward/
- "...a subpar psych ward thriller that mines the most cliche of horror film plotlines with laughable performances by the entire cast of twenty-something actresses."—Brad Brevet of Rope of Siliconhttp://www.ropeofsilicon.com/article/movie-review-the-ward-2010
- "Carpenter enthusiasts might find solace in his return to the big screen, but ultimately the mass majority of horror fans will be disappointed."—Brad Miska of Bloody Disgustinghttp://www.bloody-disgusting.com/film/2976/review

The Cabin in the Woods
"As is, The Cabin in the Woods is a smart, tight little script. It gets in, gets out, and the credits roll. It doesn’t waste a lot of time teasing the audience or dragging us around an endless series of cheap thrills (though it does have plenty of those). It knows what it wants to do and does it in what will almost certainly be no more than 90 minutes. There’s no twist in the movie, granted, but there is a big surprise of sorts towards the end. The movie’s final moments really go completely and utterly insane until it all culminates with a really, really big surprise of the kind that’s likely to divide audiences and leave them either loving or hating the entire film. I’m still not entirely sure what I think of it. Done wrong it could be unintentional comedy, done right it’ll be unlike any other finish you’ve seen on screen. That applies to the entire script really. Cabin in the Woods has the potential to be something special, but it’s by no means a slam dunk. I hope Goddard knows what he’s doing."—Josh Tyler of Cinema Blendhttp://www.cinemablend.com/new/Script-Review-Joss-Whedon-s-The-Cabin-In-The-Woods-14793.html

The Fury (1978 Film)
"The movie that draws the deepest line in the sand between De Palma apologists and De Palma maniacs."Eric Henderson, Slant Magazinehttp://www.slantmagazine.com/film/film_review.asp?ID=2491
"This more streamlined thriller about another telekinetic girl (Amy Irving) has few supporters, but it revealed further development in De Palma's storytelling skills."—Jeffrey M. Anderson, Combustible Celluloidhttp://www.combustiblecelluloid.com/classic/fury78.shtml
