As in many professions, more individuals are interested in performing than there are available openings. Talent alone does not ensure success, as several people begin as musicians, but depart from the profession as a result of hard work, demanding self-discipline, and long periods of irregular unemployment.http://www.careeroverview.com/music-careers.html

How to Buy Crochet Hooks
Many crochet craft enthusiasts choose to buy a set of hooks, rather than one hook at a time. http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/184-6957224-5069050?asin=B000WV84W8&AFID=Performics_Google%20Product%20Listing%20Ads&LNM=Primary&ref=tgt_adv_XASD0001 Here’s why. A set of hooks should range from a hook so small that is only has a number, not a letter, to a very large hook. The description in one set of 23 hooks looks like this: Hook Size: 2, 8, 0, 00, I/9, E/4, D/3, K/10.5, F/6, 5, 7, 13, H/8, 6, 4, 11, 14, G/7, 12, 9, J/10, 1, 10, 3. http://www.purplekittyyarns.com/info/crochet-hook-conversion.html This set is very comprehensive. Once you see sizes that range like this, it can get quite confusing, as they migrate from numbers to letters and back. However, a set like this with 23 hooks will prepare you for almost any possibility.
The other option is to determine the precise size you need for the pattern and material you’ve chosen and just buy that one hook and start your own set. It basically depends on whether you are a crochet expert, or just trying it for the first time.

How to Organize a Charity Poker Tournament
While a bunch of the work is already done come day of the event, there are still plenty of things you'll need to do to make sure the event runs smoothly. There is plenty of work to be done, so it's recommended to recruit a buddy or two to assist.
- Arrive at the venue several hours in advance of the event to set up all of the tables with chips and cards. Lay out snacks and beverages if you are providing them. If the venue is not well known, be sure to put out a few signs in front of the building which your guests can easily see.
- Make sure you have everything you need for the tournament including all the supplies and prizes. Making a last-minute run to the store is better done sooner than later.
- Greet guests and show them to their table. This can be done randomly or in cases where you know who is attending, a seating chart can be made. Be sure to collect donations from each guest.
- Shortly after the start time of the tournament, begin the game. Monitor the tables to make sure all is running smoothly. Keep everyone informed of the rules and if/when blind values increase. Rearrange players to keep table sizes the same after players are eliminated.
- Keep an eye on guests who are not actively involved in the tournament to make sure they are entertained and enjoying the event.
- When the tournament winds down, awards prizes ...

How to Make Beaded Earrings
There are many patterns for earrings available online. The one described below is an easier way to make beaded earrings. The steps below are to make simple dangle earrings. Once you master this technique you can start exploring more difficult patterns. You can make different shaped earrings and use various different materials to make your earrings.
For the dangle earrings described below you will need all the materials that were described in step 1 on this page:
- To start these earrings, you want to take one headpin. Mind you that headpins do come in different thicknesses and sizes. Choose a size that you think will flatter your face. It might take some experimenting.
- Add some beads onto the head pin. You can use different sized beads or you can use spacer beads in between your colored beads. Try to find nice color combinations.
- Use your round nose pliers to bend the headpin above the beads to 90 degrees.
- The part of the headpin that you bend should be made into a loop.
- Take a hook shaped ear wire and attach it to this loop.
- Repeat all the steps to make the other earring so you end up with a complete pair.http://www.beadage.net/drop_earrings/drop.shtml

How to Make Reindeer Ornaments
- For the clothespin reindeer ornaments, use additional embellishments to decorate. Add brown felt to make antlers, or wrap brown pipe cleaners around the prongs of the clothespin head. Cover the body of the reindeer with brown felt, or paint it brown.
- For the candy cane reindeer ornaments, use different sized candy canes, or different color candy canes.
- Make reindeer ornaments using popsicle sticks. Use three popsicle sticks; start by gluing the first two together in a V shape, and glue the third one across the first two about 1/3 from the top so that the bottom protrudes like antlers. Glue a red pompon where the two popsicle sticks overlap (to form the nose). Attach googly eyes on either side of the two popsicle sticks that form the V, just below the third popsicle stick. Tie a ribbon around the third popsicle stick so you can hang the ornament on the Christmas tree.

Christmas Tree Pictures
Christmas lights can make photographing a decorated indoor Christmas tree a bit challenging at times - even for seasoned photographers. Depending on your objective, you might consider taking photos of the tree with and without flash. Each option will produce very different results. Without the flash, the tree's lights will be more pronounced; the effect may or may not be enough to illuminate the ornaments and other decorations. With the flash, you are more likely to see the overall detail of the decorations. If you are taking pictures of the Christmas tree with the flash, remember to use a slower shutter speed on your camera.NYIP: How to Take Great Photos of Holiday Lights
