Amy Lee has been part of several musical projects outside Evanescence. Most famously, she performed the re-recording of the single Broken by Seether. Peter Steele Dead
Peter Steele, born Peter T. Ratajczyk, in Brooklyn, New York on January 4, 1962, was best known as the lead singer and bassist for the goth-metal band Type O-Negative. Steele was the founder of the band, which officially took on the name in 1990. Prior to that, Steele had formed the nucleus for the band that would eventually become Type O-Negative in 1981 while still a teenager along with other future band members John Campos and Josh Silver.

In 1995, Steele posed nude as the centerfold for the August 1995 edition of PlayGirl magazine. Steele reportedly agreed to the pictorial as a publicity stunt.
In 2005, in yet another self-admitted publicity stunt, Steele authorized that he be reported as dead on the band's official website. This was done as a publicity stunt following the band's signing with a new record label, SPX Records.
