The Vij

It's inspired by a short story by russian writer Gogol. We've taken many characters from there, but we departed from the original story. We've taking themes from the original, but the humour and the philosophy has been removed. In the original story, there is an argument among students in a village. They mention our plot, so we've taken that mention of the plot and made our movie out of it. A priest goes the village to save the rich man's daughter, who's cursed by the fallen angel, The Viji, the guardian of the purgatory, who came to Earth. So, we elaborated that and made it our basic plot story. — Robert Englund — BadTaste.it

Italo producer Loris Curci is producing “The Vij” for Rome-based horror shingle ReDark in association with Canada’s Remstar and Spain’s Canonigo Films. Shooting is scheduled to start in April in the Lazio region with assistance and incentives from the Rome/Lazio Film Commission. The uninhabited medieval village of Civita di Bagnoregio will be a prime location for “The Vij.” — Variety

Wings of Desire

"Astonishing things happen and symbolism can only work by being apparent. For me, the film is like music or a landscape: It clears a space in my mind, and in that space I can consider questions." — Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Timeshttp://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/19980412/REVIEWS08/401010374/1023

"The conceit gets a little out of hand after one of the angels falls in love with the trapeze artist and decides to become human; but prior to this, Wings of Desire is one of Wenders' most stunning achievements." — Jonathan Rosenbaum, Chicago Readerhttp://www.chicagoreader.com/chicago/wings-of-desire/Film?oid=1070910

"The film depends more on mood and character than many of the others, and key actions seem to be alarmingly taking place off-screen."Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Timeshttp://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20101116/REVIEWS/101119969

"Equal parts action thriller, political parable, and multidimensional love story, "Hallows" feels sad and strong and true."— Elizabeth Weitzman, New York Daily Newshttp://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/movies/2010/11/16/2010-11-16_harry_potter_and_the_deathly_hallows_part_i_is_dark_intense_lonely_nightmare_for.html

"More than even the most faithful of the earlier episodes, this film feels devoted above all to reproducing the novel onscreen as closely as possible, an impulse that drags it toward ponderousness at times..."— Todd McCarthy, The Hollywood Reporterhttp://www.hollywoodreporter.com/review/harry-potter-deathly-hallows-part-44623

"Instead of scooting like a Golden Snitch during a Quidditch championship, DH1 is struck with a long spell of aimlessness, and the viewer with the curse of ennui."— Richard Corliss, TIMEhttp://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,2031721,00.html

The Warrior's Way Trailer

The theatrical trailer for The Warrior's Way opens by introducing viewers to Yang (Don-gun Jang), a ninja warrior feared and revered for his skills. The narrator explains that Yang "was a legend" throughout Asia, "born on the battlefield. An assassin so dangerous that no army could defeat him - until the day he refused his mission." Yang is shown being told that he must kill an infant, "the last of their clan." Yang finds he cannot complete this mission and as a result, he is forced to leave his homeland.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z8xYMomsDc

As the trailer continues, Yang travels to America, where he winds up in the west. There, Yang meets Lynne (Kate Bosworth), and several others living in a small town. Lynne tells Yang that he "is gonna fit right in with the rest of us outcasts." Yang warns Lynne that he needs to leave, "or you will all be in danger." Eventually, a large army of ninjas descend on the town, forcing Yang and his cohorts to fight for their lives.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z8xYMomsDc
