How to Choose a Wedding Gift
If a couple does not have a wedding registry or you do not find a specific item on there you would like to give to them, you can create a gift that has personal value to it. Depending on your relationship with the couple and how well you know them, you can give them a gift that will benefit their interests. For instance, if they are both into the outdoors, you can purchase a piece of camping or hiking gear that they can use. You can also give them a gift based on what they are asking for. For example, if they are requesting a variety of small kitchen appliances, you can give them with a wide array of interesting cookbooks (i.e., if they asked for a blender, provide them with smoothie recipes). If the couple is going on their honeymoon to a destination you are familiar with, give them some advice on the best sights to see while they are there or give them gift certificates for restaurants you enjoyed (if possible).
Put yourself in the shoes of the bride and groom and think about what you would want or need as a newlywed. If you are still unsure about what to get the bride and groom, consult their family members or close friends who can make recommendations.

Chopsticks
All Chopsticks are not created equal. In fact different cultures use Chopsticks different ways, and thus design the chopsticks accordingly. For instance Chinese Chopsticks are traditionally longer with a blunt tip. While Japanese Chopsticks are shorter with a sharper end which is used almost like a knife or fork. Chopsticks are also made in a variety of styles and materials, such as stainless Steel, plastic, and the popular wood variety. It is important to consider durability and practicality of the utensil since it is an acquired skill to use them. The different size can either hinder or help a person's use of the utensil when first learning. Some chopsticks are made with handsome designs which might be important to consider when planning an event. Since most chopsticks used in restaurants are disposable, it's also important to consider that guests using chopsticks might not know it is reusable, so plan accordingly.

How to Plan an Office Party
It can be a bit awkward if everyone is comfortable with one another in the office environment, but then be in a completely different and unfamiliar atmosphere at a party.
Conducting oneself properly is important, no matter how informal the gathering. If you are in charge of the party, you may need to keep a vigilant eye on the guests, to make sure no one is going overboard with the alcohol. People in subordinate positions may corner their boss and jeopardize their job or career.
If someone is showing signs of intoxication, ask the bartender to stop serving him/her, if you have a bartender. If it’s a “help yourself” party, you may need to ask a co-worker to drive the individual home or be prepared to call a cab. http://www.quintcareers.com/office_party_dos-donts.html It’s surprising how disruptive just one person can be, and can put a damper on the entire party.
As the party coordinator, make sure everyone is having a good time and that they have everything they need to enjoy the evening.

Cake Stand
The Cake Stand is also a common display at Weddings and other festive events such as a Birthday or celebrations. Some cake stands feature multiple levels, rotating bases, and decorative shapes and themes. Some Cake stands even double as a punch or Refreshment Bowl.
Cake stands may be used exclusively for decoration. Martha Stewart recommends filling cake stands with candles and seasonal decorations rather then desserts.http://marthamoments.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
