Some of the identified bodies will be honored in a traditional New Orleans jazz funeral. The structure includes six mausoleums and is shaped in the form of a hurricane's eye. Cocodrie is a small rural town along the coast of Louisiana. Cocodrie was hit by Hurricane Gustav as it made landfall on September 1, 2008. The eye of the storm passed slightly to the southwest of the town. American Airlines Flight 77
On September 11, 2008, a memorial to the victims of the Pentagon attack was dedicated in a park adjacent to the crash site. The site contains 184 benches, one for each individual who perished that day. Fifty-nine of the benches are dedicated to the passengers and crew of Flight 77. Each of these 59 benches faces the direction of the sky from which the plane came.
