Deadpool
Deadpool is a character in Marvel Comics. He is a mercenary by trade, and has played both for and against the X-Men. He is most often written around X-Men storylines, due to similar origins as Wolverine (character). Ryan Reynolds plays Deadpool in the 2009 film Origins: Wolverine.
Deadpool is one of the few comic book characters to often talk directly to the audience. His dark humor and pop references round out Deadpool's personality.

Batwoman
Greg Rucka, the current Detective Comics writer who is working on Batwoman, says much was speculated and written about the character by the BBC and in New York Times articles. He says these institutions almost successfully took the character over. He says DC is reclaiming her and they plan to take her in directions no one ever expected.http://scifiwire.com/2009/02/the-batman-is-dead-long-live-the-lesbian-batwoman.php
