Chocomize
Chocomize is the brainchild of three Columbia University graduates and roommates: Eric Heinbockel, Nick LaCava and Fabian Kaempfer. After a trip to the store, LaCava left a bag filled with chocolate, nuts and candy in his car on a hot day. The ingredients all melted together into a giant chocolate candy ball, which two of the roommates quickly consumed. Within a few months, Chocomize was becoming a reality: the company's website went online in November 2009 and sales were brisk at the outset.http://www.chocomize.com/personalized-chocolate-bar-story

National Cocoa Day
National Cocoa Day can be celebrated throughout the entire day with endless possibilities. Of course, one can also celebrate this holiday with the traditional mug of hot chocolate. However, this food holiday doesn't have to be limited to just food. Many products are made from cocoa such as lotions and soaps which are made from cocoa butter.http://www.unctad.org/infocomm/anglais/cocoa/uses.htm If food is more your style, for breakfast try something different and make a batch of chocolate gravy with homemade biscuits. Many kids will be amazed by this simple to make gravy with chocolate. This is a perfect time to make chocolate candies for upcoming Christmas gifts, like fudge, southern cream drops and chocolate covered, well anything. It wouldn't be National Cocoa Day without some chocolate ice cream, with chocolate syrup and chocolate sprinkles. For those who don't enjoy baking, chocolate peanut butter, no bake cookies are loaded with cocoa. These cook up in a snap on top of the stove, but don't be tempted to taste the cocoa alone, many say it is quite the bitter taste. However National Cocoa Day is celebrated, it is sure to be delicious; just don't forget to add the sugar.

National Chocolate Wafer Day
As National Chocolate Wafer Day is a fairly obscure holiday, there are not likely to be too many widespread celebrations. However, this day presents an ideal opportunity to experiment with a new dessert recipe, or to simply indulge in a few wafers as a special treat.

How to Make Spicy Hot Chocolate for Valentine's Day
- Bring the water into a boil in a saucepan.
- Add the vanilla extract or the whole vanilla bean.
- Add the sugar.
- Add the cinnamon.
- Add a pinch of salt.
- Stir gently with a cooking spoon, and let the liquid simmer for a minute. It should smell amazing, and the aroma of the cinnamon should be noticeable.
- Pour the melted or grated dark chocolate. If you find it sticking to the bottom of the bowl, just get your spoon a little bit wet in order to mix the preparation well.
- Reduce heat. Let the hot chocolate simmer for a minute.
- As the chocolate melts and mixes with the other ingredients, the blend can get clumpy. Use the wisk to make it nice and smooth.
- Slowly introduce the milk. Continue stirring with the wisk.
- Let the concoction simmer for about a minute.
- Turn off the heat, and immediately pour the mix into a lovely mug.
- Sprinkle the blend with a pinch of cayenne pepper.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MIjo5X0gpI

Aphrodisiac Foods for Valentine's Day: Chocolate
Cacao tree plantations were first established nearly 2,000 years ago by the Aztecs and Mayans, who lived in what is now Mexico and Central America. Cacao seeds were originally ground and mixed with various spices to make a bitter, frothy drink. The beverage was often consumed during religious ceremonies, in which priests also offered cacao seeds to the gods.http://www.fieldmuseum.org/chocolate/history_intro.html
Upon conquest by the Spanish in 1521, cacao traveled to Europe where chocolate recipes were eventually sweetened with sugar and cinnamon. Cacao seeds were an expensive import, and chocolate drinks were typically reserved for the wealthy and powerful of Spain.http://www.fieldmuseum.org/chocolate/history_intro2.html With the Industrial Revolution in the mid-1800s, chocolate began to be mass-produced as solid forms of sweet and increasingly affordable candy.http://www.fieldmuseum.org/chocolate/history_contemp4.html
In 1875, Daniel Porter and Henri Nestle added condensed milk to chocolate, which became dubbed as "milk chocolate" that is still sold around the world.http://www.fieldmuseum.org/chocolate/history_contemp4.html
