Jelly Beans
The center of the jelly bean is produced first. Sugar and syrup are boiled, then squirted into cornstarch-coated trays to dry. These trays form them into the shape of small beans. After being coated with sugar and steamed, they are left alone for up to two days to dry and cool. Another several days are used to "glaze" the bean with a further layer of sugar.

Snickers Halloween Grocery Store Lady Commercial
A commercial for Snickers candy bars described by some as "terrifying" and "creepy" began airing in late-September of 2010, only weeks before Halloween.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/05/snickers-halloween-old-lady-commercial_n_751237.html http://www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/terrifying-snickers-grocery-store-commercial-lady In the commercial, a woman named Mrs. Jensen is grocery shopping near the Halloween candy aisle when she is approached by a very tall older woman wearing a mask and a long, over-sized coat. The masked old woman tells Mrs. Jensen that she doesn't have enough Snickers candy bars in her shopping cart, explaining in a falsetto voice that "the neighborhood kids love Snickers on Halloween." The woman then caresses a startled-looking Mrs. Jensen's face, saying "Let me help you." The old woman then proceeds to rake several bags of Snickers candy bars into Mrs. Jensen's cart.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgSv1SKCteQ
A bewildered-looking Mrs. Jensen then makes a move to get away from the strange woman who is dumping bag after bag of Snickers candy bars into her shopping cart, but the woman stops her, saying "I'm only helping..." and muttering "Snickers." As Mrs. Jensen finally breaks free and races up the candy aisle to get away from the "creepy" tall woman, viewers see a child's face peek out from the woman's leopard-print coat. The child looks up, saying "We're definitely going to her house."http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgSv1SKCteQ

Bonbon
Although bonbons are often associated with European culture, their essential ingredient (chocolate) is actually a product of Central American and South American Indians. It is thought that the Olmec Indians were the first to cultivate them, and the Mayan Indians are known for creating cocoa plantations in the Yucatan. Originally, chocolate was consumed as a bitter drink, similar to coffee.
Spanish explorers discovered chocolate quickly upon their arrival in the Americas, and writings on the use of cocoa date back to Hernando Cortez. Once the beans were brought back to Europe, the Spanish began adding sweeteners and other flavorings to chocolate drinks. In the mid 16th century, a Frenchman opened the first chocolate shop in the city of London, England. and over the next 20 years people began using chocolate in its solid form in pastries and chocolate rolls. It was at Prince Albert's Exposition in 1851 that the bonbon as we know it was discovered by Americans.http://inventors.about.com/od/foodrelatedinventions/a/chocolate.htm
