Beagles
Beagles are generally friendly with people and love to play with kids. They get along well with other dogs, but will chase cats and are a threat to pet rabbits and other small rodent pets.
These sociable dogs require lots playtime and family attention to keep them from becoming bored and destructive. Even with adequate outdoor exercise they may be quite active indoors, and it helps to have children around to play with. Their small size, boundless energy and clownish personalities make them excellent playmates for most children.
